It is with great disappointment that we report our 2024 Beacon crop of tobacco grown at Beacon Farms was destroyed by Hurricane Beryl and a subsequent water leak in our drying barn. Famed author and businessman Robert Kiyosaki once observed, “The size of your success is measured by the strength of your desire; the size of your dream; and how you handle disappointment along the way.”
Fortunately, no one was hurt. However, the staff involved are very disappointed and are looking forward to the challenge of the next planting in October of this year.
While we can control much of the growing process, we cannot control Mother Nature. Losing our crop was disappointing, but in the indefatigable spirit of the Cayman people, we will recover and find strength in our disappointment. Seed beds will be refreshed with our own compost, new seedlings will be planted, and our 2025 Beacon tobacco crop will be bigger and better than ever! Stay tuned for more information as we get ready to begin again.
In the meantime, we are excited to announce that the 2023 Beacon Series II is currently being rolled and will be available for a late 2024 release to the public. Additionally, we invite you to explore our current offerings.
Thank you for your continued support,
Granger & Scott
